Bernardo College - Student and Development Guidance Office Conducts Psychoeducation Talks for Suicide Prevention
The Bernardo College – Student and Development Guidance Office strengthened its commitment to student well-being and suicide prevention through a series of Psychoeducation Talks held on October 3, 2026, at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR), bringing together Junior High School and Senior High School students for discussions focused on hope, connection, peer support, and mental health awareness.
The activity featured two sessions tailored to the students’ respective levels. The morning session, “𝘼 𝙋𝙚𝙚𝙧: 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙞𝙛𝙚,” was facilitated by guest speaker Ms. Abbygail Terrencio Bobos, who shared insights on the importance of peer support, empathy, and being present for others.
The afternoon session, “𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄𝙛 𝙏𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙬 𝙄𝙨 𝘿𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩,” featured Ms. Irish Fernandez and engaged Senior High School students through discussions and activities that encouraged reflection and a deeper understanding of shared experiences and personal challenges.
The sessions provided students with meaningful opportunities to learn, participate, and reflect on the importance of seeking support and extending understanding to others.
Through initiatives such as this, we continues to promote a school community where students feel heard, supported, and safe, reinforcing the message that hope and connection can make a meaningful difference.
